YuGao’s first performance art is ‘tell a lie’ in 2002, which mainly described she and the other three girls who looked like herself in looks as well as statures and they played cards together, many eyes on their faces. In 2005, she created ‘The Flower of Evil’ which mainly discuss the conflict between human inner deep abstinence and orgies by models’ fashion show and modern dance as well as the fight and conversion of animality and divinity in human nature. In the same year, she adapted the traditional Peking Opera Hero’s highlight into modern dance which reflects the contemporary’s vacant and yearns for heroism in reality. In 2006, her work ‘Shiva’s Dance’ was a dancer danced around her sculpture. In 2011, YuGao cooperated with ZhangWei to create the work ‘110 minus 2’ which consisted of 108 men with different colors to explore the right and human nature by rules and revolt. In 2012, she co-launched the experiment show with ZhangWei ‘Relevancy with Kemari-----Traversing 5000 Years of China’ and went to UK to participate in Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
